Ego Blockchain
Ego is a quantum-safe Layer-1 blockchain written in Rust that rewards participants for contributing physical infrastructure rather than for solving arbitrary computational puzzles. Nodes earn EGOC by providing three measurable resources: encrypted file storage, verified wireless coverage, and CPU/GPU compute capacity. Each is validated cryptographically — storage through Proof of Replication and Proof of Spacetime challenges, coverage through witness-attested reports across distinct geographic cells, and compute through on-chain escrow tied to provider uptime. Consensus is HotStuff-style BFT requiring a two-thirds supermajority, giving finality in seconds rather than probabilistic confirmations. The network is accessed through Ego Desktop, a native application for Windows, macOS and Linux that runs a full node while also serving as a non-custodial wallet, encrypted storage client, peer-to-peer messenger, and development environment for smart contracts
