Callbuddy is designed for one-click video calls enabling close teammates to sort out spontaneous little things quickly. We help remote teams maintain those simple over-the-desk conversations.
When most companies switched to remote work, our team faced a problem with casual quick conversations. There were great tools for scheduled meetings and text chats, but nothing replicating that feeling of “Hey, do you have a second?” conversation you have in an office. We realized that those ad-hoc conversations generate the best ideas and just get things done much quicker.
Usually, you cannot call your teammates straight away, it is awkward – you never know if they are busy or not. That’s why we built Callbuddy: pictures of your teammates on the desktop, with availability statuses telling you if they are open for a call or not.
We also framed it in little circles, you can keep it on your desktop and feel your teams’ presence without really saying anything or disturbing you. Whenever you need to really focus on something, you can easily minimize it.
So, our main features so far:
– Quick video calls from your desktop,
– Drag, drop, resize the image,
– Indicating availability and status “open to chatting”, “busy”, etc.,
– 1:1 and group calls up to 30 people,
– Slack-ready – start calls from Slack directly,
– Integration with Google Calendar – availability can be changed according to the meetings from Google Calendar.
We are going to launch our beta soon and we’ll keep it free. If you are interested, we’d love you to sign up and get priority access to Callbuddy: https://callbuddy.lpages.co/signup/
