By using AppRater or submitting content, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and must have authority to submit a product or content on its behalf.

AppRater provides discovery, editorial, and archival information. Listings, votes, views, tags, descriptions, and rankings may be incomplete, historical, estimated, moderated, or changed. They are not endorsements or professional advice. We may add, edit, decline, suspend, or remove any listing and may change or discontinue the service.

To report unlawful, infringing, or otherwise problematic content, email [email protected] with the listing and the concern; we will investigate and remove or restrict content where appropriate.

AppRater is an English-language archive of independent software products: apps, web tools, browser extensions, plugins, APIs, and developer tools, typically built by individuals or small teams. A listing must point to the product's own website or its app store page, and its title and description must be in English.

We do not list: e-commerce or physical-goods stores; brand, agency, or content-farm sites; blogs, newsletters, or email courses; fan wikis or file repositories; adult or sexually oriented products in any form; scams, deceptive claims, or products impersonating a better-known product; malware or anything unlawful. Automated and human review apply these criteria, and borderline submissions may be held for manual review.

You retain ownership of product listings, comments, updates, and other content you submit. You grant AppRater a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, edit for clarity or formatting, publish, display, and promote that content in connection with AppRater. You represent that the content is accurate, lawful, non-infringing, not deceptive, and does not contain malware or confidential/personal information you lack permission to share.

Every product comment and update is subject to moderation. You may claim to represent a product only when authorized to do so; AppRater may verify, relabel, edit, reject, or remove a note. Submission does not guarantee review, publication, placement, traffic, ratings, or continued availability. You remain responsible for your product, claims, customer support, and compliance with applicable law.

Promotion is optional, begins only for approved listings, and does not influence editorial approval. Current price, billing interval, currency, and renewal terms are shown before checkout. Whop processes promotion subscriptions and leaderboard bid payments; PayPal continues to process subscriptions started through it. Each processor may impose its own terms. Subscriptions renew until canceled through the processor you paid with. You should cancel before the next billing date to avoid renewal.

The leaderboard ranks paid bids: every successful $5 payment adds one bid to the app it names, total bids decide the order, and the newest bid wins a tie. A bid takes effect as soon as its payment settles and is consumed by the placement it buys; it is not a deposit, credit, or balance.

Refunded in full: billing errors, duplicate charges, and payments for a promotion or bid AppRater failed to deliver — for example, a charge for a listing that was never promoted. Contact us promptly and we will refund or correct the charge.

Subscription promotions: you can cancel any time through Whop or PayPal and keep the promotion until the end of the period you already paid for. Amounts for elapsed time are not refunded, and canceling stops future renewals rather than refunding the current period.

Leaderboard bids: because a bid is consumed immediately by the ranking position it buys, bids are not refundable once placed. If a payment was charged in error or a bid was never applied to your app, we will refund it.

Donations: voluntary support and non-refundable, except for duplicate or erroneous payments or where required by law.

Request a refund by emailing [email protected] with the transaction details. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory cancellation, refund, or withdrawal rights available in your jurisdiction, including statutory cooling-off periods where they apply.

Donations through Buy Me a Coffee are voluntary support for AppRater, do not purchase a product or special placement, and are generally non-refundable except for duplicate/error payments or where required by law. Donations are not represented as tax-deductible.

You may not misuse the service; evade security or moderation; scrape at a harmful rate; submit spam, unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content; impersonate others; interfere with operation; or use AppRater to distribute malicious code. We may restrict access and cooperate with lawful investigations.

Listings and advertisements link to independent sites, and checkout may redirect to PayPal. AppRater does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, products, transactions, or policies. Review their terms before using them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AppRater is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness, non-infringement, or results. AppRater is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the site or third-party products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid AppRater in the preceding 12 months or USD 50. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

We may update these terms and will update the effective date. Continued use after an update means acceptance where permitted by law. Before starting a formal dispute, contact us so we can try to resolve it. Applicable law and courts are determined by mandatory law and the operator’s place of establishment; no term deprives consumers of protections or forums they cannot lawfully waive.
