About the product

A serious iPhone timegrapher for mechanical watches. Hairspring measures rate, beat error, and an honest amplitude range from the phone microphone. Measure the same watch twice and it reports whether the readings agree after accounting for each run’s statistical uncertainty. Weak or irregular signals produce a reasoned refusal instead of a plausible-looking number. One $9.99 purchase; no subscription, account, ads, analytics, or automatic uploads.

For product owners

Promote Hairspring

Every listing gets one post to our X and Threads followers. It is seen once, then the traffic stops. Promotion keeps Hairspring in front of people instead.

  • Back in the X and Threads rotation. Hairspring gets posted again instead of once.
  • A promoted slot on the AppRater homepage, carrying a Promoted badge.
  • A labelled spot in the weekly email to AppRater subscribers, one promoted app per issue.
  • Stays on the first screen however old the listing is, while new submissions push everything else down.

Developer update — Hairspring 1.0.2 is live. Completed repeatability checks now stay attached to the saved measurement and its PDF receipt, including both readings, fit uncertainties, the agreement limit, verdict, and analysis version. Amplitude ranges are consistent across the app, position summaries avoid over-diagnosing, and Settings reports the installed version correctly. I also published a free signal-troubleshooting guide that maps Hairspring's live “no microphone signal,” “no tick sound,” noise, and irregular-tick messages to the next setup step: https://kapella-hub.github.io/appstore/iphone-timegrapher-not-detecting-watch.html Hairspring remains a one-time $9.99 purchase with no subscription or account. — Marat Oganesyan, developer
