Inner Warden is an open-source security agent for Linux servers. It runs directly on the host, monitors suspicious behaviour in real time, detects threats, keeps a full audit trail, and can respond automatically based on configurable policies.
It is built for founders, developers, sysadmins and small teams who run servers without a dedicated security team. Inner Warden helps detect SSH brute-force attempts, suspicious processes, risky network behaviour, dangerous commands and unsafe AI agent activity.
The project introduces the idea of Agentic Runtime Defense: protecting systems at the point where attackers, scripts, processes and AI agents actually execute actions.
Inner Warden is self-hosted, local-first, open source, and designed to work without mandatory cloud dependency.
