OpenPub is a free, MIT-licensed, local-first CLI and MCP server that publishes one Markdown file to dev.to, Hashnode, WordPress, Ghost, Medium, Substack, Pages and X Articles. It keeps credentials local, with no SaaS middleman or telemetry. CLI and stdio MCP default to drafts and dry-runs. The first public URL becomes canonical, with idempotent republishing. It works from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot and other MCP clients. Self-hosted; npm is not released yet.
