About the product

Postquel is a free, MIT-licensed PostgreSQL client built natively for macOS 15+ with SwiftUI and AppKit. It includes table browsing and editing, a SQL editor, foreign-key navigation, schema inspection and SSH tunnels. Database passwords stay in macOS Keychain. The optional assistant works through Claude Code, Codex or Cursor Agent already installed and signed in on the Mac. It can inspect schemas and run read-only queries, then propose changes for the user to review, dry-run and apply. Third-party AI services may have their own charges. Postquel is an early prototype and a work in progress, available for Apple silicon and Intel. Source: https://github.com/frizurd/postquel

For product owners

Promote Postquel

Every listing gets one post to our X and Threads followers. It is seen once, then the traffic stops. Promotion keeps Postquel in front of people instead.

  • Back in the X and Threads rotation. Postquel gets posted again instead of once.
  • A promoted slot on the AppRater homepage, carrying a Promoted badge.
  • A labelled spot in the weekly email to AppRater subscribers, one promoted app per issue.
  • Stays on the first screen however old the listing is, while new submissions push everything else down.

Mac Explorer

File Manager

Mac Explorer is a native Swift and AppKit file manager for people who prefer Windows Explorer-style file operations on a Mac. Enter opens files, F2 renames them, and Delete moves them to the Trash. An editable address bar, New File command, cut-and-paste and mouse Back/Forward buttons make everyday navigation familiar. A terminal in the current folder, Git tools, regular-expression filters, technical metadata and configurable actions support development work. Quick Look and native macOS services are integrated. Optional cloud connections require explicit configuration. Requires macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. A 30-day trial needs no account or credit card. Personal licensing costs $9.99 for two devices for one year, paid once.

FluxyChat

Developer Tools

FluxyChat puts people and AI agents in the same realtime room. Most products end up with chat in one place, the document in another and the agent somewhere else, with permissions copied between them and no way to replay what a tool call did. FluxyChat keeps chat, presence, collaborative docs and agents on one Cloudflare Durable Object per room, so agent tool calls show up on the same timeline as messages, and risky ones can wait for a human to approve. It’s open source (MIT): self-host it on your own Cloudflare account or use the hosted open beta (free plan, no card). I started it in May as a weekend project and kept building it solo. You can try a public room without signing up at fluxychat.com/demo.
