Rigel is an App that collects articles and other multimedia contents about history, science, art, literature, music and many more topics from the most renown magazines and blogs across the internet.
We decided to develop Rigel when we discovered that the average time people spend on social media in a year is equivalent to reading 200 books. We asked ourselves: “what if we could convert some of this time into learning new things?” We thought about it, and realized there is no second easy option: finding good cultural material on the internet is hard, especially for less aware users.
We have designed Rigel to ease the process of accessing information, so that users can spend more time on discovering new things rather than losing time scrolling social media feeds.
But bear in mind, Rigel IS NOT YANA (Yet Another News Aggregator), we do NOT provide news: our content is valid, readable and interesting even tomorrow.
