About the product
SoundBuddy puts everyday Mac audio controls in the menu bar. Choose a default microphone and optionally keep a preferred input selected with Input Lock while SoundBuddy is open. Call apps may use their own microphone settings. Pick keyboard sound packs and volume, with Input Monitoring permission for sounds across apps, and access paired Bluetooth controls where macOS and the device support them. Requires Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later. A one-time paid licence covers one Mac, with internet required for licence checks. No free tier or trial. Current US launch price is USD 5, with regional pricing shown at checkout. I am SoundBuddy's maker.

For product owners
Promote SoundBuddy
Every listing gets one post to our X and Threads followers. It is seen once, then the traffic stops. Promotion keeps SoundBuddy in front of people instead.
- Back in the X and Threads rotation: SoundBuddy gets posted again instead of once.
- A promoted slot on the AppRater homepage, carrying a Promoted badge.
- A direct link to SoundBuddy from a DR45 site (Ahrefs Domain Rating), with no redirect in between.
- A labelled spot in the weekly email to AppRater subscribers, one promoted app per issue.
- Stays on the first screen however old the listing is, while new submissions push everything else down.
