TunnelHQ is a monitoring platform built specifically for VPN and proxy infrastructure. Unlike traditional uptime monitors that rely on ping, HTTP requests, or basic port checks, TunnelHQ performs real protocol handshakes to verify that users can actually connect. It supports 11 protocols including WireGuard, OpenVPN, VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Hysteria2, TUIC, IKEv2, OpenConnect, and AmneziaWG. TunnelHQ continuously checks infrastructure from distributed monitoring regions across the US, Europe, APAC, and South America, with monitoring intervals as fast as one minute. When a service changes state, alerts can be delivered through Email, Slack, Telegram, Discord, or webhooks. The platform also includes historical uptime analytics, failure heatmaps, subscription URL monitoring, automatic protocol detection, team workspaces with role-based access, audit logs, a REST API, CLI tooling, and MCP integration for AI development tools. TunnelHQ is designed for VPN providers, proxy operators, DevOps and infrastructure teams, network administrators, and developers who need protocol-level monitoring rather than simple server availability checks. A free plan is available for up to 5 monitors with no credit card required.
