Where Am I

I got tired of trying applications for tracking my hikes and my 4x4 trips on my Android watch. I basically had 3 problems: all applications need the phone to work and I like to put the phone in the bag, the applications didn't let me download the maps, or I had to pay for that feature to work, and finally, I was not able to share or import the GPX files with the watch. So after trying about 10 applications and not getting what I was looking for, I developed my own. I work as a developer for different platforms and I had to learn some basics, but after 6 months working on it, 3 versions later, I finally got an application that: Can track my trips with the watch, fully standalone, and the phone application helps visualize and import external GPX files, but is not required if I don't want it. I can download maps, or it can work without. Maps won't get unloaded either — this was happening with one of the applications I tried before. All the features in the current version (3) are fully free and won't ever be charged for. I can import GPX files to retrace a path I did, someone else shared with me, or I downloaded from an external source. It's called ghost, and it will let me know if I am getting too far away from the path. Finally, I developed it with one objective in mind: save battery. So it saves points often enough to have a smooth line, but not so often that it will consume all the watch's battery. Also, if I am static for more than 1 hour, the tracking will get finalized, with the possibility to abort.
