About the product
Acres is a local-first visual workspace for macOS and Windows. Organize notes and research as Markdown cards on an infinite canvas, connect ideas, and group related material into sections and mindmaps. Your notes remain files in a folder you own.
Built-in AI and external agents can work on the board through MCP and a CLI, with reviewable edits and undo history. Acres offers a 14-day free trial, followed by a one-time desktop license. After the trial, the app remains available in read-only mode until purchase.

For product owners
Promote Acres
Every listing gets one post to our X and Threads followers. It is seen once, then the traffic stops. Promotion keeps Acres in front of people instead.
- Back in the X and Threads rotation: Acres gets posted again instead of once.
- A promoted slot on the AppRater homepage, carrying a Promoted badge.
- A direct link to Acres from a DR45 site (Ahrefs Domain Rating), with no redirect in between.
- A labelled spot in the weekly email to AppRater subscribers, one promoted app per issue.
- Stays on the first screen however old the listing is, while new submissions push everything else down.
