About the product
WatchHighlights for YouTube is a FunCove Firefox desktop browser extension for reviewing captioned desktop YouTube videos. Choose a target length and play AI-selected original passages in the original YouTube player. Selected clips lists timestamps; Full video restores surrounding context. Text summaries and follow-up chat cover the current video, and read-aloud is available for generated answers.
For a first trial, choose one captioned lecture or tutorial and generate highlights. Inspect the already available clip list and replay passages, then return to the full explanation wherever needed. This is a navigation aid, with no measured learning or retention improvement claimed.
No separate sign-in or personal API key is required. Free: one successful request per UTC day per stored browser account, shared across highlights, text summaries, chat answers and new read-aloud audio. Optional USD monthly plans: $1.99 for 50 video hours, $2.99 for 100, $4.99 for 200 and $9.99 for unlimited hours. Each new analysis or audio generation counts full source-video duration; cached reuse makes no request, and unused paid hours do not roll over. Temporary highlight/audio cache can be lost on reload or restart; generating again consumes the allowance.
Captioned desktop YouTube watch pages are required; Shorts, uncaptioned videos and cross-video chat are unsupported. Visual-only details may be missed and AI can be wrong.
